If you have strong savings or investments but not much regular income, an asset-based loan may be worth a look. These programs, sometimes called asset depletion loans, turn eligible assets into a monthly income figure for qualifying. You generally don't have to sell them.
Who it can help. Retirees, business owners, investors and others with solid assets and little or uneven income.
What can count. Depending on the program, checking, savings, stocks, bonds, mutual funds and retirement accounts. Some assets may count at less than their full value.
Assets plus income. Some programs let you combine asset-based income with other income you already receive.
Know the tradeoffs. Each lender sets its own rules, and these loans can come with higher rates, stricter credit requirements or larger down payments than a conventional loan. If another loan is a better fit, we'll tell you.
What to have ready. Recent statements for your accounts, details on any other income, and details on the home you're buying or refinancing. We'll tell you what else we need before you pull everything together.
Not sure if it fits? Call or text (303) 931-6776.
Not all programs are available in every state. All loans are subject to credit approval. Rates, terms and conditions vary by program.
